Limelight Pictures Film School was founded in 2015 with the belief that the most significant art form of its time is the moving image. LPFS programs are designed to facilitate the ever-growing and evolving areas of film-making and acting that are creating new platforms for creative professionals to express themselves. The LPFS has emerged from over 30 years of experience in education (formal and informal) in India and over 52 other countries. The founders have been imparting education in the field of Entrepreneurship and other vocational skills since 1986 through the International Centre for Entrepreneurship & Career Development (ICECD).
LPFS is located in Ahmedabad - the hub of the currently growing Gujarati film industry and just near Mumbai that houses one of the largest film industries in the world. LPFS offers part-time and full-time courses for aspiring actors and film-makers with further specialization in cinematography, editing, direction, acting, SFX and other subjects.
LPFS courses range from screen-writing to film-making. They also provide hard facts students need to begin the process of developing creative, thought-provoking and entertaining work. At LPFS, students eat, drink and breathe film-making or acting from day one. This is not a course for passive participants.
Designed equally for beginning actors as well as those with experience, the LPFS's acting courses/workshops provide actors with intensive training in screen acting, modern on-camera acting techniques, and theatre acting.
To enable students to acquire the professional, artistic and technical skills necessary in order to enter and build a career in the film industry.
